About Me
Just a small snippet into my life
I believe software is the most effective tool we have to change the world, and I am obsessed with harnessing it. I studied Computer Engineering because I wanted to understand how it works, starting with simple transistors on a circuit board representing a collection of 1s and 0s all the way to applications that let us order food from our phones. I also came to understand just how fragile technology can be. As we come to rely more and more on software to improve our quality of life, it is increasingly important to ensure the applications we create are reliable, secure from malicious actors, and user-friendly.
Today I am a Software Developer in Test at Karl Storz where I am helping create the latest technology in medical endoscopes to help save lives. I do whatever I can to ensure that our products are safe. I coordinate test efforts in conjunction with multiple teams, design and automate test procedures using C#, conduct penetration tests to ensure we have no cyber security vulnerabilities and manage requirements.
In my free time, I enjoy baking, wood-working, and finding over-engineered solutions to my problems.
